Brand Positioning Strategy Services – Questions to Ask Before Hiring
Brand positioning defines the place a business wants to occupy in its audience's mind and the meaningful difference it offers. Strong positioning is specific, credible and relevant to customer needs.
Questions to Ask Before Hiring
Ask how research is conducted, who participates, what deliverables are included, how success will be evaluated and what support is available after strategy delivery.
Areas to consider
- Business goals and target audiences
- Customer needs and competitor positioning
- Brand promise, differentiators and proof points
- Messaging, tone of voice and visual identity alignment
- Implementation priorities and review measures
How to approach the work
Start by documenting the current offer, customer groups, business objectives and communication challenges. Review available customer feedback and competitor examples, then agree on positioning and messaging principles. Translate the strategy into practical guidelines and a prioritised implementation plan that teams can apply across the website, marketing materials and customer communications.
